2020.4– Pandemic

Pandemic is Kirkland Gallery's first and ongoing collective online exhibition. In a time of isolation and social distancing, this exhibit gathers and displays the body of artwork and reflections produced by GSD students, side-by-side in a digital shared space.

Art is not limited to physical properties and, we believe, neither should our gallery be. It is in challenging times of crisis (such as these) that we have to be creative, to inspire, and to work together. Creativity has not ceased among us merely because our facilities have temporarily closed. We must continue to promote and share artwork.

With these considerations in mind, we have decided to expand the gallery to an online platform. Although the new format brings some constraints, it also opens up exciting new ideas and possibilities that would not be viable in our physical location.
